Client Background:

This is a well-known higher education institution dedicated to biomedical research. With the increasing number of research projects, their laboratory facilities can no longer meet the current research needs. The university wanted to upgrade the laboratory furniture and equipment to improve the functionality and comfort of the laboratory.

Client Needs:

Needed to provide efficient and flexible workspace for multiple research projects.

Solution:

After understanding the client's needs, we conducted several conference calls with the client to discuss in detail their lab layout, equipment needs, and budget. Based on this information, we developed a preliminary solution and provided a project timeline and budget estimate.

2. Design Program and Quotation

Preliminary Design:

Our design team provided the client with 3 different styles of lab layout options, each of which considered space utilization, equipment safety, and ease of operation for lab personnel. The client was particularly interested in a desktop layout that could accommodate large equipment and improve work efficiency, so we focused on recommending adjustable height workstations and modular storage solutions.

Safety and environmental design:

Considering the high demands of the lab, we customized fireproof storage cabinets, PP lab tables and fume hoods to meet international safety standards, and selected environmentally friendly materials to meet the client's sustainability requirements.

Quotation & Contract:

We provided the client with a detailed quotation, including all equipment and furniture as well as transportation and installation costs. The client was satisfied with our design proposal, and after further discussion, a contract was signed between the two parties to determine the project schedule and payment method.

3. Equipment Production and Delivery

Production process:

After the contract was signed, we immediately started to produce the customized equipment according to the design plan. All the lab benches, lockers and ventilation equipment are manufactured precisely according to the customer's requirements and quality is strictly controlled during the production process. We report regularly to our clients on the progress of production and ensure that all equipment meets international standards.

Delivery & Installation:

After about 1 month production cycle, all the equipments are produced on time. We arranged a professional installation team to ensure that the equipment could be delivered to the customer's laboratory smoothly and that the installation and commissioning could be completed within the specified time. During the installation process, our technicians keep in close contact with the customer to ensure that all the equipments are working properly.

After the installation was completed, the customer expressed great satisfaction, especially the customized workbench and storage cabinet not only improved the utilization of space, but also greatly enhanced the neatness and safety of the laboratory.
