Background:

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company based in India with a focus on drug development and manufacturing. As the company continued to grow in the global pharmaceutical industry, they decided to upgrade and redesign their research and development laboratories to increase efficiency, ensure experimental accuracy and meet international certification standards. Case goals include optimizing laboratory space, improving the safety and functionality of laboratory equipment, and ensuring that the laboratory environment meets GxP and safety compliance requirements.

Challenge
Space limitation: The laboratory space is relatively small, and how to arrange a variety of experimental equipment and laboratory furniture in the limited space has become the core challenge of the case.
Equipment integration and flexibility: Customers need to efficiently integrate the latest laboratory equipment with custom furniture, while maintaining the flexibility to respond to the changing R&D needs of the future.
Compliance with industry standards: All furniture and equipment must not only comply with strict international pharmaceutical industry standards, but also have a high level of safety and easy-to-clean features.

Solution

After several months of communication, we confirmed with the client a comprehensive solution based on the layout of the laboratory room and the main purpose of the laboratory, covering laboratory furniture design, equipment integration and space planning. Below is our final design.

Customer visits and cooperation achieved

Our client went to China and visited several lab furniture suppliers. We went to the hotel and picked him up to take him to our factory for a visit. Through 6 hours we confirmed all details; finally, the client came back to the country, and we became the partner.

One month later, all goods shipped to India, and we were invited to their factory for installation. One week we finished lab furniture, electric, water, gas, and air ventilation system installation. The following is our on-site picture.

Modular spatial planning

This lab adapts a C-frame structure lab bench; all drawers and cabinets are 1.0 mm cold-rolled steel, and the top is 16 mm epoxy resin. This type of lab furniture has a nice appearance, multiple combinations, and a long lifetime. It is able to resist most strong chemical reagents.

Efficient Equipment Integration

To maximize space utilization, we customize laboratory equipment to meet customer needs, including integrated lab benches, concealed power systems, and equipment configurations that facilitate routine maintenance and cleaning. Additionally, we seamlessly connect critical lab equipment to the furniture to make sample manipulation and data collection easier for lab personnel.
